My Hiking Boots

I gotta admit I used to be particular to Keen boots until I discovered Hi-Tec. Hi-Tec offers water proof boots for us big guys with wide feet. My second pair of Hi-Tec boots should be in this week and I cant wait to get them out on a trail. Nothing against Keen, I just really wish they offered a wide boot with better arch support. The price difference between Hi-Tec and Keen is also a major reason for switching boots. The two pair of Hi-Tec boots I recently bought cost me less than $100 while one pair of Keen boots cost me $100+ and I still cant get a good hike out of the Keens without sore arches. For a short hike my Keen Siskiyou Mid and Keen Newport Sandals do the trick. The full day hikes I will have to stick to the Hi-Tec Natal Mid WP.
